There was a lot the City of Loveland didn’t know about the UKG application, and they were really looking forward to the extra set of hands and expertise from HRMS’ Post Go-Live Services in optimizing UKG.
Nestled in the foothills of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, Loveland is a home-rule City with a Council/Manager form of government. More than 700 employees are proud to serve Loveland’s 75,000 plus community members.
Stacy Phillips Leaming, HR Business Partner, discusses how HRMS helped the City of Loveland optimize their UKG system to meet the unique complexities of a local government.
City of Loveland had an out-of-the box implementation of UKG, with very few customizations. Facing unique human capital needs arising from being a government entity, the City decided it was time to use more of the UKG platform and its functionality. Even after having used UKG for several years, the City’s HCM team discovered there was still so much about the UKG application they didn’t know.
The team brought in HRMS to assist and started with a UKG system health check as a baseline. The assessment determined if the initial configuration was as implemented correctly for the City, areas for improvement, and what items like duplicate data and business rules could be cleaned up. The HRMS Post Go-Live Services team then looked at ways of optimizing data fields, using the City’s HR data for enhanced BI reporting and analytics, and refining and validating workflow processes.
Throughout, HRMS was able to understand the City’s business and business problems, really digging in and going hands-on with the system while passing on best practices and sharing UKG system knowledge with the City’s HCM team. HRMS is an expert resource and extra set of hands assisting the City of Loveland in their continuous goal of optimizing their UKG system.
